TRANSCRIPT
[Scene: In this scene Evan and Ella are pouring over the intel given by the Gunrunners for the Caprican Job. They’ve been given this footage by Jonny. Evan starts the scene with a confident, cocky tone; like he’s ordering around a subordinate.]
EVAN
“You see that? Right there. Stop. Alright take it back three steps to the left.”
ELLA
“You don’t have to be rude about it.”
EVAN
“That wasn’t rude, Ella. Look are you going to move it back or what?”
ELLA
“Apologize.”
EVAN
“FOR WHAT!? Like what do you mean, ‘apologize’? I just asked you to take it back three steps cause I saw something. That was all.”
ELLA
“You asked me like you were in charge. Like you were the boss of me, Evan. Mr. Important. For the record Jonny asked ME to look at the footage.”
EVAN
“WHAT!? No she didn’t!”
ELLA
“Can we get back to the job, now? Pushing it back three steps.”
EVAN
“This is because I made you pay for lunch, isn’t it?”
ELLA
“Do you think that’s petty of me?”
EVAN
“A little.”
[Sees what he saw in the footage again and is now very excited.]
“That’s it! That’s what I saw. Alright, look there after the explosion. Those are the crates the Gunrunners want Jonny to pick up, right?”
ELLA
“Sure. But what’s THAT.”
EVAN
“That’s what I saw, that’s what I’m talking about! It’s a crate! A fifth crate.”
ELLA
“Tumbling out just after the other ones. I see it. Maybe. See those flashes right before it dropped, those are gunshots for sure.”
EVAN
“So?”
ELLA
“That crate looks smaller than the other four. Could be a body.”
EVAN
“Fuck… you’re right. It’s hard to tell without a closer shot.”
ELLA
“Do we tell Jonny?”
EVAN
“50/50 it’s a body or a case. What do you think?”
ELLA
“I think that if it’s a body you get to buy me lunch. At the Rails.”
EVAN
“Fine. But if it’s a case you owe ME lunch at the Rails. Deal?”
ELLA
“The Deal is Done.”
EVAN
“Why did you have to say it like that?”
ELLA
“Like what?”
EVAN
“Like you’re a merc or something and this is some big deal. It’s lunch at the Rails, not a contract.”
ELLA
“The Deal is Done.”
EVAN
“Okay you can really stop saying that now.”
